Drug Uses
Diprolene AF is produced as cream paste and it is suitable for relieving inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses in patients 13 years and older.
How Taken
The cream is applied to the affected areas once or twice a day. The usual dose should not exceed 45 g per week.
Warnings/Precautions
This drug can be used only externally. It should be applied as directed and should not be used longer than prescribed. You should avoid eye contact. You should use Diprolene AF only to treat the problem for which it is prescribed and nothing else. You should not put any bandages on the treated skin or cover or wrapped it.
Missed Dose
If you forget to take a dose, just dot as soon as you remember. If it is too close to the next dose, leave the missed one and follow your normal dose schedule. Do not take two doses at a time in order to catch up.
Possible Side Effects
Possible side effects are skin atrophy (telangiectasia, bruising, shininess).
Storage
Keep between2°C and 30°C (36° and 86° F).
Overdose
Topically applied Diprolene AF is absorbed in sufficient amounts in order to be effective. Find emergency medical attention if you suspect an overdose.
More Information
Diprolene AF Cream should not be prescribed to patients with hypersensitiveness to betamethasone dipropionate, other corticosteroids, or to any ingredient in this preparation.
