Drug Uses
Eurax is purposed to treat scabies or to relieve itching associated with certain conditions.
How Taken
Before using the lotion, make sure it is well shaked. Use a thin layer of the cream or lotion and apply it to all body parts from the neck down to the soles of your feet (scabies does not usually infect the head). Make sure your skin is dry and the cream is well rubbed. Leave it for 24 hours, then, with no washing, apply a second dose. Wait 48 hours and after that wash thoroughly.
Warnings/Precautions
Pay attention to use the drug just the way it is prescribed. Do not take it orally. Make sure you do not put in contact to the area of the mouth, nose, or eyes. To avoid future reinfection, wash all bed clothes, clothing, hats, bed linens, hair brushes, and combs, using a strong cleanser in hot water to remove any mites or eggs
Missed Dose
Eurax should be applied in doses between a time period of 24 hours each. If you miss the second dose, you may need to repeat the treatment. In case of missing a dose, contact your physician.
Possible Side Effects
Serious side effects are uncommon. In case of an allergic reaction (breath shortness, throat closing, swelling of your lips, face, or tongue; or hives), contact your doctor immediately.
Storage
Eurax should be stored at room temperature and have to be kept away from moisture and heat.
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose, find instant medical help. Overdose symptoms may include (after ingestion) irritation or inflammation of the mouth, throat, and stomach lining, a burning feeling in the mouth; ; vomiting,nausea; and abdominal pain.
More Information
Eurax should not get in touch with the eyes, mouth or nose. Wash thoroughly with water in case you get this drug in those areas.
