Drug Uses
Protopic is used only in case of eczema that has been diagnosed by a doctor.
How Taken
Protopic should be applied on all areas affected by eczema. Make sure you cover completely all damaged areas.
Warnings/Precautions
During treatment, avoid tanning beds, sunlight and sun lamps and treatment with UVA or UVB light. If you cant avoid going outdoors, try to wear loose clothing that will protect the treated areas from the sun. Consult your doctor about other possible ways of sun protection.
Missed Dose
If you skip to apply a dose, do it as soon as you notice.
Possible Side Effects
Most usual side effects regarding the use of Protopic are soreness, stinging, a burning feeling, or itching of the skin area that is treated with Protopic. These side effects are usually not serious and most probably will occur in the beginning of the treatment and disappear with the healing process.
Storage
Keep Protopic at normal room temperature (59E to 86EF). Do not expose to cold or hot weather. Be careful to close the cap tightly after use. Store away from children.
Overdose
Overdoses are very rare. If you doubt an overdose, seek emergency medical help.
