Drug Uses
Ranitidine HCL is suitable for treating active duodenal ulcer or for maintenance therapy for duodenal ulcer.
How Taken
The usual dose is 150 mg tablets twice daily or 300 mg tablets once daily depending on how is most convenient for you. It is recommended Ranitidine HCL to be taken before bedtime. Each dose should be taken with a full glass of water.
Warnings/Precautions
In case of breast-feeding, consult your doctor before taking Ranitidine HCL. It is known to pass into breast milk. You should not discontinue taking ranitidine without first consulting your doctor.
Missed Dose
In case you have forgotten a dose, take it as soon as you notice. If it is too close to the next one, ignore the missed one and resume your usual dose schedule.
Possible Side Effects
Possible side effect reactions regarding the use of Ranitidine HCT are: diarrhea, constipation, nausea/vomiting, abdominal discomfort/pain, headache.
Storage
Keep at normal room temperature 15°-30°C (59°-86°F) in a dry place.Do not expose to light. Make sure it is placed away from children.
